Crypto.com’s Major Donation for Youth Programs
Crypto.com announced a $1 million donation to After-School All-Stars on March 2, 2026, during an LA Kings game at Crypto.com Arena, aiming to enhance educational and summer programming for youth across the United States.
This strategic donation, made in partnership with the LA Kings and the Kings Care Foundation, is designed to support the national nonprofit organization founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger. After-School All-Stars provides free after-school and summer programs that serve approximately 150,000 students in 80 cities annually, focusing on mentorship and opportunities for underprivileged youth.
The On-Ice Reveal
The formal announcement took place during a halftime ceremony at the LA Kings’ matchup against the Colorado Avalanche. Among the attendees were Schwarzenegger, the LA Kings President Luc Robitaille, and representatives from Crypto.com and After-School All-Stars, marking an impactful moment on and off the ice.
During the event, students from the After-School All-Stars Los Angeles chapters participated in activities such as drumline performances outside the arena and Zamboni rides, while fans engaged in various promotions including a Road Trip Sweepstakes and Lucky Row events hosted by Crypto.com.
Matt David, Crypto.com’s President of North America and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, expressed that this donation is pivotal in aligning with the company’s community investment objectives aimed at driving positive social impact.
Community Impact and Future Goals
Schwarzenegger emphasized the importance of mentorship and providing opportunities for the youth, stating that the organization’s mission resonates deeply with the values of community support and engagement. The collaboration aligns sports with educational initiatives, utilizing the Kings’ platform to raise awareness for youth development.
The funds from the donation will go toward expanding After-School All-Stars’ programs that focus on providing educational resources, physical activities, and skills training for children who may face various challenges in their academic and social lives. With a mission to empower young people through mentorship and community engagement, the charity stands to benefit greatly from this financial support.
This partnership reflects a growing trend among corporations to invest in community initiatives, particularly in the nonprofit sector, as they seek to improve their public image and contribute positively to society. The sizeable donation also underscores the importance of corporate responsibility and social impact, particularly in today’s landscape where companies are increasingly evaluated based on their contributions to social causes.
